Catalog description
This course will explore the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, including digestion, absorption, catabolism, storage, utilization and synthesis of macronutrients. Various dietary frameworks including food group plans, the Dietary Guidelines, Food Exchange System, Recommended Dietary Allowances, and other standards will be discussed.
