Catalog description

The function of the gastrointestinal tract in health and disease and its relationship with systemic disease conditions, nutritional processes, and the musculoskeletal and nervous system are detailed in the course. Special attention is drawn to functional gastrointestinal complaints commonly seen in the chiropractic office and how these may be related to a variety of disorders. Case management of conditions amenable to conservative health care is discussed as are indications for appropriate patient referrals.
