Catalog description

This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding and the ability to properly analyze clinical laboratory biological specimens.  Students will be able to detect, accurately diagnose, and monitor disease status, as well as evaluate the treatment of common pathological conditions in a healthcare setting through a chiropractic lens. This course will be taught with theoretical lectures placing an emphasis on critical thinking skills.  Students will learn how to select appropriate lab tests and interpret their values in the context of the patient's health status and develop relevant critical clinical application skills.   The course will include commonly run profiles of hematology, various metabolic chemistries, and urinalysis.
