Catalog description

This course provides students with the opportunity to engage in practical exercises to continue to interact professionally in cases in a simulated patient setting. This would include their understanding appropriate patient dialogue, deepening and enhancing listening and empathy skills and observing how to overcome barriers in communication with patients. Skills inputting data into the Electronic Health Record system for documentation will be practiced in small groups. Overall, students will become more familiar with clinic operations, business forms and procedures, and how to incorporate classroom lectures into the daily practices of how a clinic functions.
