Extremity Clin Case - Lab

Catalog description

This course will focus on case based simulated extremity disorders.  A strong emphasis will be placed on orthopedic and neurological musculoskeletal diagnosis. The expectation for the course is that the student will review, integrate, and comprehend assessment data.  Demonstration of specific examinations related to the shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, femoral-acetabulum, knee, lower leg and foot/ankle regions is expected.  Once completed, the students formulate diagnostic impressions utilizing case-based scenarios, management strategies and patient functional goals.
