Prerequisite: CHPM 3609 Chiropractic Risk Management in the chiropractic profession refers to the study and application of laws and regulations that govern chiropractic practice. It includes understanding and interpreting the laws, rules, and ethical principles that govern chiropractors, as well as complying with these regulations in their daily practice. This course will cover a wide range of topics relevant to chiropractors, such as scope of practice, standards of care, informed consent, confidentiality, advertising and marketing, and liability. Understanding and following jurisprudential principles is essential for chiropractors to provide safe, effective, and ethical care to their patients, and to avoid potential legal and ethical violations.
