Prerequisite: MAT 101 or equivalent General Chemistry I (CHM 111) is the first course of a sequence that introduces the fundamental laws and theories of chemistry. Content includes measurements and calculations in chemistry, chemical foundations, atomic structure and periodicity, general bonding concepts, molecular structure and orbitals, stoichiometry, types of solutions and solution stoichiometry, and chemical energy.
