(Prerequisite: BIO 111) This course is an exploration of the structure and function of cells at the molecular level. Topics include cell ultra-structure in relation to function, membrane structure and transport, catabolism and cell respiration, anabolism and photosynthesis, and energy exchange at the cellular level. This is a required core course for all departmental majors.
