Resident Prerequisite: NURS 301 and NURS 305 Online Prerequisite: NURS 220 This course focuses on the nursing process while gaining an understanding of nursing care to culturally diverse populations. Emphasis is on evidence-based research and a Biblical worldview as students explore how culture impacts the social determinants of health and the definition of health and illness. Communication, decision-making, cultural practices, religion and spirituality, birth, and end-of-life are topics explored. Students can practice communication skills, and assessment questions while considering how the cultural framework affects their practice, the clients' understanding, and working with colleagues from other cultures. Registration Restrictions: Online: RN License in good standing
