Catalog description

Introduction to clinical drug therapy with emphasis on the knowledge and interventions needed to maximize therapeutic effects and prevent or minimize adverse effects of drugs. Major content areas include basic concepts of pharmacology, groups of therapeutic drugs, prototypes of drug groups, commonly prescribed individual drugs, drug effects on body tissue, human responses to drug therapy, and applying nursing process in relation to prescribed drug therapy regimens. Note: NURS 305 has 3 credit hours for the residential course and 2 hours for the online course.
