Catalog description
An examination of the structure, function, and pathology of the various body systems and their roles, relevance, and applications in health and illness. The course will employ virtual interactive cadaver dissection technology. The following topics are covered: introduction to the human body; the chemistry of life; the cells, tissues, and organization of the body; the blood; the cardiovascular system; the lymphatic system; the nervous system; the special senses; the endocrine system; and the respiratory system. (Formerly HLTH 201) Note: This course does not substitute for BIOL 213 214
