Fashion Practicum
Liberty University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Fashion Practicum is a hands-on, studio-based course designed to immerse students in the full creative and production process of the annual Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) fashion show. Through guided instruction and collaborative studio work, students will develop practical skills in sketching, draping, garment design, merchandising, promotion, and visual display. As an applied practicum, the course emphasizes real-world experience, teamwork, and professional standards within fashion design and fashion merchandising environments. Fashion Practicum is required once for students in the B.S in Fashion: Fashion Design concentration and may be repeated up to three additional times as an elective to support continued skill development and deeper involvement in fashion show production.
