An analysis of the various sources of energy (both fossil and renewable) utilized by modern societies, including the means by which these sources are acquired, produced, distributed, and consumed. Includes a survey of industry safety considerations, global environment and health impacts, and methods by which user-end efficiencies and/or alternatives can reduce the amount of energy consumed.
