Catalog description

This course will give the student an excellent foundation in various perspectives in professional ethics. Ethical issues driving policy and program creation will be reviewed in detail throughout this course. The course will survey such topics as behavior-based safety programs, ethical environmental management, auditing for program and policy compliance, safety performance characteristics of a good safety culture, and various governmental standards related to program development. Specifically, the course will focus the student’s EHS ethics perspective through the lens of the Biblical Worldview. Finally, the course will analyze the BCSP (Board of Certified Safety Professionals) Code of Ethics for potential integration into the student’s personal ethics point of view.
