Catalog description
The studies of methods to co-develop science- and engineering-based solutions mainly focus to improve the human condition of the less materially advantaged communities. Students explore their creativity and apply interdisciplinary engineering skills in the co-creation of just and sustainable solutions. Students learn to think critically about the fundamental engineering principles in order to utilize them effectively under the constraints of limited resources. Projects from the following five frontiers or general fields, at least will be covered: Energy, food/water, shelter, personal wellbeing/health, and communications (e.g. low-powered radio stations).
