An examination of the fundamental principles of microscopic organisms. Microorganisms are examined with regard to cell structure, metabolism, heredity, diversity and taxonomy. The basic concept of genetic engineering, pathogenicity, human disease, and immunology are presented. Registration Restrictions: Restricted to Family and Consumer Sciences and health-related majors Note: 3 hours lecture; 2 hours lab
