Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to provide the student with a basic knowledge of film photography. The student will learn how to operate a basic 35mm film camera, develop black and white film and print black and white photographs. Additionally, the student will learn about the basic properties of light, exposure, composition, depth of field and perspective. While learning the basics in B&W, most principles can later be applied to color and digital technologies. Note: May be taken twice for credit. Formerly COMS 301 .
