Students focus on generalist practice with individuals in a variety of organizational and cultural contexts. The course builds upon the beginning generalist social work skills learned in SW 241. Emphases are on development of the problem-solving approach, evaluation of practice effectiveness and assessment and intervention techniques within the context of generalist practice. Values, techniques, theory, ethics, research and diversity are stressed. Course enrollment is limited to Social Work majors. Pre-requisite: SW-241 . This course may include DEI-related content.
