CASE MANAGEMENT AND CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY

Catalog description

The course focuses on practical application and administration of Case Management Services in health and human service delivery systems in Idaho. Case management studies emphasize clinical focus on case management services that apply to Rural and Frontier settings in Idaho. Students work with case management models where case management and records monitoring occur, from hospital, in-patient care to out patient settings in rural communities. Students are exposed to various treatment populations such as High Risk populations including AIDS/HIV populations, elderly, Native American, as well as gender specific issues. Students will be exposed to other disciplines such as Mental Health, Voc-Rehab. as well as Developmental Disability populations. Pre-requisites: PSYC-101 or permission of instructor.
