Catalog description

The primary purpose of the integrative seminar core course is to develop interdisciplinary abilities in values and ethics clarification. In this section, we focus on the development of the Salmon River ecosystem beginning with its geological formation, continuing to its biological evolution, and arriving at its human habitation and economic significance. We will reflect upon the ethics and values that inform our stewardship for this remarkable landscape, being informed by our understanding its formation, traditional uses, natural character, and history.
