Catalog description
This course consists of lecture and lab and is an introductory course in the use of 2D computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. Students will gain knowledge and entry level skills in the use of computers and CAD software as it relates to engineering documentation. Topics taught include file management, fundamental drawing and modifying commands, drawing setup including model and layout space, text and dimensioning, creating blocks and attributes, multiview and pictorial drawings, section and auxiliary views.
