FUNDAMENTALS OF COMPUTER PROGRAMMING

Catalog description

This course is an introduction to computer programming using contemporary programming logic methods and design practices. The focus of the course is to provide students with a strong foundation in programming principles. Fundamental topics include logic, expressions, operators, I/O, control and conditional structures, data types, containers, functions, programming errors, and events. Students will engage in hands-on programming development using JavaScript and command line interfaces in preparation for dependent courses in this degree program. Students in CITPT-312 will have an additional research project required of them. Prerequisite: CITPT-111 or CITPT-311 .
