Catalog description

Provides an overview of the role of fitness and rehabilitation programs for selected special populations. Students will learn to modify exercise for individuals and groups based on age, medical conditions, and special needs. The areas covered will include but are not limited to: coronary heart disease, diabetes, asthma, obesity, arthritis, pregnancy, and the special needs of the physically and mentally challenged. <BR>Prerequisite: None. <BR>(PCS 1.1, 3 credit hours, 3 hours lecture, 0 hours lab)
