Catalog description

Introduces the concepts and operating principles of gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) systems including safety in the welding environment, process and equipment operation, shielding gasses, filler materials, weld joint setup, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, repair techniques, and American Welding Society (AWS) qualification and certification. <BR>Prerequisites: WELD 196. <BR>(PCS 1.2, 3 credit hours: 1 hour lecture, 4 hours lab)
