Catalog description
Introduces the student to approximately 300 American Sign Language vocabulary items and certain grammatical features. The course is designed for students interested in developing beginning conversational skills for interaction with deaf individuals. An explanation of certain cultural aspects of American Sign Language will be provided. Students will be taught fingerspelling. <BR>(PCS 1.1, 3 credit hours: 3 hours lecture, 0 hours lab)
