Introduces the various fields of law and provides an overview of the training and career of paralegals. Presents the function of law, courts, and lawyers in modern society. Analyzes of the training and role of the paralegal as well as the ethical and professional practice standards applicable to both lawyers and paralegals. <BR>Prerequisite: None. <BR>(PCS 1.2, 3 credit hours; 3 hours lecture, 0 hours lab)
