Covers the basic elements of music (melody, rhythm, harmony, and form) and perceptive listening as they relate to non-western music. Examines the music cultures of several non-western societies. No previous music background is necessary. Prerequisite: None. (PCS 1.1, 3 credit hours: 3 hours lecture, 0 hours lab)
