Surveys the role and effects of the broadcasting and cable industry. Emphasizes historical development, media regulations, terminology, programming, and career opportunities. Studies all basic equipment used in broadcasting and telecasting. <BR>Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in MCOM 136. <BR>(PCS 1.2, 3 credit hours: 3 hours lecture, 0 hours lab)
