Catalog description
Develops the arithmetic of real numbers; uses ratios, proportions, and percents to solve real-life problems; reviews measurement and practical geometry emphasizing applications to perimeter, area and volume of common geometric figures; integrates the use of graphing calculator technology. <BR>Prerequisite: Placement by exam. A graphing calculator is required for this course. Check with the College Bookstore or the Mathematics Department for recommended models. <BR>(PCS 1.4, 4 credit hours: 4 hours lecture, 0 hours lab)
