Catalog description

Surveys world history from prehistory and the birth (B.C.E. 3500) of civilizations ranging from Mesopotamia, Egypt, Persia, and India, to China, to the age of exploration (C.E. 1500). Theologies and moral codes are compared. High and popular cultures, the history of ideas and social history are examined. The historical method is emphasized. Biographies of great individuals are included. <BR>Prerequisite: None. <BR>(PCS 1.1, 3 credit hours, 3 hours lecture, 0 hours lab)
