AC: Fund in Electricity

Catalog description
Introduces the fundamental properties and applications of electricity including alternating current (AC) circuits, complex numbers, inductance, capacitance, resistor-inductor (RL) and resistor-capacitor (RC) circuits, RC time constants and transients, resonance, transformers, relays, and switches. Introduces Solid State Principles and filters as they relate to electrical and electronic power supplies. <BR>Prerequisite: C or better in ELEC 131 or concurrent enrollment. <BR>(PCS 1.2, 3 credit hours; 2 hours lecture, 2 hours lab)
