Catalog description
Investigates the physical environment, including the interrelationships of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere as affected by the biosphere. Special emphasis on map interpretation and weather data, climate systems and the impact of weather on soils and biomes. Various physical processes such as earthquakes, volcanism, and plate tectonics are used to discuss the earth as a dynamic planet. Prerequisite: None. (PCS 1.1, 4 credit hours: 3 hours lecture, 2 hours lab)
