Catalog description

Provides an overview of the technologies and business procedures of electronic commerce. Addresses basic issues that must be resolved in order to successfully implement an Internet presence with a new or existing business entity, emphasizing the three major driving forces behind e-commerce: technology change, business development, and social issues. Focuses on identifying appropriate hardware and software options. Includes coverage of marketing and social and legal issues associated with doing business on the Internet. Prerequisite(s): None. (PCS 1.1, 3 credit hours - 3 hours lecture, 0 hours lab)
