Catalog description

This is a 3 credit course designed to introduce students to the field and profession of occupational therapy. The history and role of occupational therapy in health care, the diverse settings for occupational therapy practice, and professional standards, ethics, and terminology will be discussed. Students will explore the relationship between occupation (i.e., meaningful activity) and health, and will gain an appreciation of the value of occupation in their own lives.
