Catalog description

A preceptor supervises the student while they are assigned to a team within a school's athletic program. The learning objective is for the student to show proficiency in all aspects of athletic training including prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and administration. This progress is documented using weekly worksheets. Class time is spent on job and graduate school search strategies, obtaining and maintaining certification and licensure.
