Catalog description

This workshop is designed to provide students with knowledge of fingerprint principles, classification of fingerprint types, and technology used to compare fingerprints. This workshop will provide both lecture and hands-on techniques for processing fingerprints on various surface types, using both powder and chemical techniques. Students will also learn to take legible rolled ink fingerprints that are suitable for booking, elimination standards, and other uses. The workshop will assess the student’s ability to search, collect, preserve, analyze, and compare fingerprint evidence.
