This course explores the molecular foundations of biological systems, focusing on the structure and function of fundamental building blocks, biopolymers, membranes, and supramolecular assemblies. Students will examine key molecular interactions, biochemical reaction pathways, kinetics, and the mechanisms of biological catalysis and anabolism. The course also introduces principles of biological equilibria and thermodynamics.
