Catalog description

This course will introduce the basic language and concepts of empirical research with emphasis on the applicability of research methodology in the area of clinical laboratory sciences. Students will analyze current scientific publications for research questions, hypothesis, study design and statistical analysis and the application of proper scientific formats in the clinical laboratory professions. Curriculum will include a blend of lectures, group work, presentations by guest researchers and development of a group research poster and paper. Must be enrolled in the following Program: Histotechnology.
