Catalog description

The continuation of BIOL 32500 , this course will cover advanced echocardiography anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, instrumentation, physical principles, and advanced echocardiographic procedures. This course addresses complex anomalies and pathological conditions of the heart. An emphasis will be placed on the sonographic features, clinical presentations, and scan protocols of stress, transesophageal and intraoperative echocardiography giving indications, technical procedures, and clinical pharmacology.
