Catalog description

The first of a multi-course sequence covering basic echocardiography terminology, anatomy, physiology, instrumentation, and physical principles necessary for the student to understand the principles of two-dimensional, M-mode, and Doppler scanning of the normal heart. Students will investigate basic systolic and diastolic dysfunctions. Emphasis will be placed on the sonographic features, clinical presentation, and imaging protocols of the heart.
