IGAME 3901Junior Game Studio 1

Catalog

In this Junior-level course, students work collaboratively in a hands-on team environment to design and build an interactive media project or title to be exhibited or released. Students will gain experience working in roles pertinent to their specialization as part of a game studio team with various departments, leads, development infrastructure, and real-world demands, maintaining responsibilities as intermediate content-creators for the project under the leadership and tutelage of senior colleagues. Class projects are guided by the instructor and may include serious games, artistic installations, simulations, entertainment, or new technological exploration, and may involve long-term development cycles across multiple semesters. Students are required to successfully complete two sections of this class as Juniors in the Game Design & Interactive Technologies BFA program, and are required to present their work to a Review Board during Critique Week for assessment and grading purposes.
