Catalog description

This course introduces students to the basic structure of qualitative research. Students will analyze various types of qualitative studies by focusing on the role of various parts of the qualitative research design and how they connect with each other. Students will analyze how researchers' philosophical beliefs about knowledge and theoretical frameworks shape research purpose, literature review process, formulation of research questions. In addition, students will learn how selection of research methods are aligned to the purposes and theories that frame studies.
