Practicum Experience I

Catalog description

This required course is taken concurrently with CSWRK 5015 Practicum Seminar I. It is the part of a series of experiential learning courses designed to link the courses and experiences (for a total of 400 hours during the Foundation year and 600 hours in the Advanced Generalist year) with the social work curriculum through assignments that integrate understanding of the influence of social policy on service delivery, and concepts such as self-awareness, evidence-informed practice, social work values and ethics, culturally-aware and evidence-informed engagement with clients, assessment processes, interventions and strategies for the evaluation of client progress.
