Lrng Environ Infants &Toddlers
Lesley University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course emphasizes the design of curriculum and group environments for infants and toddlers. Particular care is given to addressing issues of diversity and recognizing the developmental needs of young children, and to providing the appropriate educational "match" of materials, activities, and environments to meet those needs. Strategies for facilitating the child's growth in all areas of the development are discussed. The course familiarizes students with approaches for working with infants, toddlers, and their families in a variety of early childhood, social service, and/or hospital settings. Health and safety issues pertinent to care in a group environment are also studied. In addition, discussion focuses on building effective relationships and educational partnerships with parents. Prerequisite: CEDUC 2351.
