Catalog description

This is the first of a three-course sequence to provide team-based experience with a real-world project using analytics. Student teams are introduced to real-world projects provided by corporate partners. Working with a faculty mentor, student teams are responsible for collaborating with the corporate partner to understand the problem scope, data requirements, expected deliverables and for identifying the analytical techniques necessary to provide those deliverables. Principles of effective leadership and how to build a high-performance team will be discussed. Team leadership will rotate throughout the three course sequence. (1.5 credits)
