Catalog description

This course introduces students to the management of intercollegiate athletics, including skills and theory, as well as regulations and governance of it. Rules and policy of athletic conferences, state athletic associations, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and state and federal law are addressed. Additional topics include: the marketing, financing, economics, and staffing of intercollegiate athletics, as well as the recruitment and retention of student-athletes. (F)
