Stand-Up Paddleboarding (2) 2025/FA: o The course will combine components of Stand Up Paddleboarding and Yoga exercises. Taking guided floats on Wildcat Lake on the LMC campus, students will learn about local Flora and Fauna, beginner paddling skills, and yoga technique. Upon reaching their destination, students will practice a session of Yoga to stretch, strengthen, and cleanse their bodies of tension. Meditation and breathing techniques will be practiced deepening their experience of the natural world around them. Mountain Resort Operations (2) 2023/SP: Mountain Hosts have become a vital addition to ski area staff and are common at resorts across America. These individuals interact with guests to promote safety and provide customer service. In addition, this course will allow students preview a wide variety of operational departments at Beech Mountain Resort. You'll learn and work in administration, ticket sales, retail sales, tubing, lifts, and various other on-mountain operations departments. Topics are determined by the ORM faculty and provide the student with an opportunity to study and research in various subject areas.
