Scramble for Africa: Foreign Domination and the African Response This course introduces students to the development of African historiography. Students will interpret, analyze, and critique different methodologies and have the opportunity to pursue their own specific research interests. In addition, this course will also examine the importance of the African oral tradition, European and Arabic travel literature, archeology, and anthropology in the intellectual construction of Africa. This course is designed for upper-level history majors. Cross-listed Courses: GLA 385 , PSC 385 .
