Critical Issues in Nursing

Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to promote the development of critical skills and knowledge needed for success in the professional workplace. Emerging issues in nursing and healthcare will be explored. Topics will be framed within the context of effective patient/ family education, application of ethical principles to practice, professional communication strategies, delegation, critical thinking, prioritization and informal leadership skills across a variety of healthcare settings and teams.
