Population Health & Epidemiology

Catalog description

This course will serve as an introduction to population health in local and global communities with an emphasis on social justice and health disparities. Epidemiological principles and methods are presented with emphasis on the health status and needs of populations, levels of prevention, susceptibility, communicability, modes of transmission, and promotion of health. Statistical measures are applied for the purpose of evidence-based decision making in population health.
